Rewarding top talent
InnoEnergy offers scholarships/fee waivers by selecting the top applicants based on a combination of academic skills (such as past performance, quality of previous education and university), professional background, affinity with innovation and entrepreneurship, amongst others.
For intake 2025, the following scholarship types are available:
- Energy Impact Scholarships
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Entrepreneurship Scholarships
- Regional Cooperation Scholarships

Who gets a scholarship?
Full and partial waivers are awarded based on a combination of academic criteria (such as past performance, quality of previous education and university), ideas for or experience with innovation and entrepreneurship, profiles that enrich our student body and through established partnerships.
Decisions about scholarships are final and cannot be appealed. InnoEnergy reserves the right to allocate scholarships based its own established criteria.
Please note: It is not possible to appeal decisions regarding scholarships, and the selection results (ranking) do not constitute grounds for an appeal. It is not possible to transfer an InnoEnergy Masters+ scholarship to another InnoEnergy programme or to a non- InnoEnergy programme.
Code of conduct. All students, including those in receipt of an InnoEnergy scholarship, agree to the terms of the code of conduct. Any breaches of the code of conduct may result in the student agreement being dissolved.

External funding
InnoEnergy encourages students to seek for additional sources of funding when applying to our programmes. In the past, many of our students have been grantees of awards and financial recognitions by international organisations. Some of them have even set up their own crowdfunding campaigns!

Energy Impact Scholarships

For intake 2026, InnoEnergy Masters+ will offer a number of full, partial and European Energy Impact Scholarships based on applicants’ profiles, qualifications and motivation.
Energy Impact Scholarships Process
Scholarships available are as follows:
- Full fee waiver (worth € 19.000 per year): awarded candidates pay no participation fee.
A total of fifteen (15) full fee waiver scholarships are available for intake 2025. Each programme has three full fee waivers to distribute amongst the best ranked candidates of all application rounds. These scholarships are normally allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply in earlier Rounds.
- Partial fee waiver (worth € 4.000 per year): awarded candidates pay € 15.000 participation fee per year.
These scholarships are allocated to candidates based on a combination of academic skills, professional background, affinity with innovation and entrepreneurship, etc. About 30% of all accepted applicants are awarded this scholarship.
- European partial fee waiver (worth € 11.000 per year): awarded candidates pay € 8.000 participation fee per year.
These scholarships are reserved for students holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an InnoEnergy Masters+ partner university or another top European University. Graduates of universities physically located outside of Europe are not eligible for this scholarship. These scholarships are not granted based on nationality.
All candidates are automatically considered for the three categories of Energy Impact Scholarships. No additional action is needed. The announcement of awardees is done during the admission process. If accepted, the acceptance letter will indicate whether or not you were awarded one of these scholarships. These scholarships are available in all application rounds.
Recipients of an InnoEnergy full fee waiver are expected to contribute to the InnoEnergy Masters+ by sharing your experiences during your studies through blogs, vlogs, social media activities and/or ambassadorship to be agreed upon with InnoEnergy upon enrolment.
Diversity & Entrepreneurship Scholarships
Do you qualify for Diversity & Entrepreneurship Scholarships?
InnoEnergy advocates for an inclusive, equitable, diverse and accepting community. Therefore, we offer scholarships to candidates based on their background, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation and entrepreneurial experience.
Diversity & Entrepreneurship Scholarships Process
The scholarships in this category are divided in two types:
- Full fee waiver scholarships (worth € 19.000 per year): awarded candidates pay no participation fee.
- Partial fee waiver (worth € 5.000 per year): awarded candidates pay € 14.000 participation fee per year.
These scholarships are reserved for candidates who:
- Will enrich the diversity of our cohort in a particular manner, i.e. due to ethnical background, nationality, having engaged in initiatives to promote general or sexual orientation diversity, etc.
- Have proven entrepreneurial experience having successfully set up and ran their own start-up. Please note that regular university projects are not considered entrepreneurial initiatives unless they led to the creation of a venture.
- There are a total of fifteen full waiver Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Entrepreneurs Scholarships to be allocated amongst candidates from all rounds. There is no limit to the number of partial waivers as they will be allocated based on the quality of the applications.
- When preparing your application, you will be asked to indicate whether you are applying for these scholarships. If you choose “yes”, then you need to select one* reason for your application:

- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or
- Entrepreneurship
*Candidate who select both motivations will be disqualified.
- Then, you will be asked to submit a video explaining the reasons why you should be awarded based on the motivation that you selected. The video should last between one and two minutes. Longer videos may be disqualified.
- About four weeks after the application deadline, you will receive the results of your admission. If accepted, you will be asked to pay a €295 registration fee within two weeks of accepting your offer.
- Once the payment deadline for registration fee has passed, InnoEnergy will evaluate the candidates for these scholarships amongst those who have paid the registration fee. Candidate who do not pay the registration fee will not be considered for the scholarships.
Regional Cooperation Scholarships

InnoEnergy teamed up with various local funding bodies and authorities to support the ambition of prospective students:

- México: FUNED & FIDERH
- Nigeria: NNRA & NiDCOM
Regional Cooperation Scholarships Process
Students who have been accepted by an InnoEnergy Masters+ programmes and who are beneficiaries of the partnership agreements with these institutions are automatically granted a:
- Partial waiver (worth € 5.000 per year): awarded candidates pay € 14.000 participation fee per year.
For students applying through WeMakeScholars, there is a maximum of 10 partial waivers available.
For students selected by COLFUTURO, there is also one full-fee waiver (worth € 19.000 per year) for the highest ranked candidate selected by the institution.
- Applicants complete the regular application process of InnoEnergy Masters+ programmes.
- In parallel, they apply through the funding calls of the various institutions mentioned above. In case of the partnership with NNRA, this is applicable to their employees only.
- If accepted to an InnoEnergy Masters+ programme and selected by the funding body/institution, applicants automatically benefit from a € 5.000 partial waiver per year*. In the case of COLFUTURO, the highest ranked candidate receives a full-fee waiver (worth € 19.000 per year) In the case of WeMakeScholars, a selection of the top 10 candidates takes place.
*This partial fee waiver is only valid if the student has not been granted a full-fee waiver. If the student has been granted a regular partial fee waiver (4,000 EUR discount per year), their offer will be upgraded to 5,000 EUR discount per year instead. It is not possible to combine waivers.
