Scholarships

The Energy Impact Scholarship recognises strong applicants based on their overall academic and professional profile.

You do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. Every applicant is automatically considered as part of the programme admission and evaluation process.

Applications may be assessed on:

• the relevance and content of your previous degree;
• academic performance;
• the quality and recognition of your previous university;
• motivation, innovation and entrepreneurship;
• relevant professional, extracurricular or other experience.

For the Master’s in Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy Systems, Smart Electrical Networks and Systems and the European Master’s in Nuclear Energy, three full Energy Impact Scholarships are available per programme for Intake 2027. Energy Impact Scholarships can be awarded across all five application rounds.

Choose the scholarship that matches your profile

In addition to the Energy Impact Scholarship, admitted applicants can apply for one of three profile-based scholarships.

• Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

For applicants whose background, experiences or contribution can strengthen the diversity and inclusion of the Masters+ cohort.

• Entrepreneurship

For applicants with demonstrated entrepreneurial experience, including experience developing or creating a venture.

• Digital Champions

For applicants who can demonstrate how they use digital skills to drive innovation in energy and sustainability.

How to apply

To be considered, you must:

• apply to a Masters+ programme;
• select one of the three scholarship routes in your application;
• submit a short motivation video explaining why you should receive the scholarship;
• pay the €295 registration fee after you have been admitted and accepted your offer.

Applicants to the Entrepreneurship Scholarship must also provide evidence of their entrepreneurial experience.

You can apply for only one of these three scholarship routes.

A total of 12 full Diversity, Entrepreneurship and Digital Champions Scholarships are available across Masters+ for Intake 2027.

The Master’s in Advanced Energy Systems and AI follows the same annual fee structure and scholarship routes as the other Masters+ programmes, but additional country eligibility rules apply to scholarships supported through AI4GreenDeal.

Full fee waivers are available only to applicants who hold the nationality of an eligible country under the Digital Europe agreement.

For eligible applicants:

• eligible non-EU applicants may receive a full annual fee waiver of €19,000
• eligible EU/EEA applicants may receive a full annual fee waiver of €9,000

Eligible non-EU applicants may also be considered for:

• a €4,000 annual Energy Impact partial fee waiver or
• a €5,000 annual Diversity, Entrepreneurship or Digital Champions partial fee waiver

*For applicants from countries outside the eligible-country list, additional commercial fee reductions are still being confirmed for Intake 2027.
